This is my vibe-slop project. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

perpetual

8 × 8 board · 6 kinds of piece

Chess with no draw by repetition. A position may be reached as often as the players please and the game goes on; the fifty-move rule and the move limit are the only clocks left, so a side with nothing better than a perpetual has to find something better or run out of moves.

Score 0.909 out of 1, the average of four runs, provisional: worked out before the latest change to how games are scored (scoring rules version 12, 31 October 2026). It will be measured again. The score is how interesting a game looks when the computer plays it, out of 1.

Play perpetual free online in your browser, against the computer, with no account needed.
